Lesson #4: Eliminate brake pedal pulsation

A rotor that spins unevenly, will wear unevenly. When the rotor and pads don't mate squarely and evenly around the full circumference of the rotor, uneven wear will develop over time and the customer will feel this as vibration/brake pedal pulsation after as little as 3000 miles.

Sample Script for Service Advisor
"Ms. Customer, have you ever had a car where the brakes shudder/judder/ or pulse? (Answer will usually be yes)(Now spin rotor model), Well that condition was caused by wear in the rotor surface caused, initially, by wobbly brake rotors. Our new Rotor Matching service, is just $______ over our standard brake job, (with or without new rotors) and will insure the best mating surface for your new brake pads by effectively trueing/straightening the rotor/wheel bearing/hub interface. Can we add this to your repair today?"
