The Pro-Cut Warthog Rotor Matching System is arguably the most rugged on-car lathe in the world. It was engineered to cut the biggest vehicles and withstand the most rigorous use, and its modular design lends itself to fast and simple maintenance and repair. In short, the Warthog might be the last on-car lathe you ever buy.

New features include a direct drive PTO that delivers almost 2X the start-up torque, and massive main spindle roller bearings with wider offset for improved stability & strength. The body has been grown for deeper reach and the resulting extra 8 lbs of body mass provides the quietest cut ever. All Warthogs come standard with the fixed post trolley, speed lock cutting head, and DRO computer that monitors lathe use, efficiency, and ROI.

The Warthog is big enough to cut medium duty trucks but remains nimble enough for use on virtually any vehicle including sub-compacts.

Warthog Key Features

  1. DRO computer with digital display of live run-out and "odometer" readings that provide motor hours, number of cuts, average comp time, and ROI data. Live run-out provides assurance that manufacturer specs are met with every brake job (and guarantees your shop sees NO COMEBACKS). The DRO odometer allows you to track the performance of the lathe so you can measure profitability and schedule maintenance when needed.
  2. Speed-Lock cutting head requires no hand tool set-up and adjusts with one hand. Set-up is faster and more accurate with fewer hassles for the technician.
  3. Fixed post, disc-lock trolley features sealed bearings, a positive locking mechanism, and accepts GYR upgrade. Also provides a wider base for greater stability, and new carriage design for perfect zero-gravity effect.
  4. 1.0HP motor has all the power you’ll need and the convenience of a 110v electrical supply.
  5. Over-sized lathe body with built-in handles on both sides of the lathe make it easy to manipulate. Deeper reach and 8 lbs of extra mass allow for quieter cuts on any vehicle up through medium duty trucks. The wider body allows for longer main spindle and far greater rigidity.
  6. PTO drive and external gear box provide 2X the start-up torque and great resiliency, even in lock-up situations.

How the Warthog Works

  1. Install adapter to vehicle with hand wrench, then connect the lathe to adapter by hand-tightening the draw bar knob.
  2. Turn on the lathe and press one button to compensate for lateral run-out.
  3. Center cutting head over the rotor and lock with speed-lock lever.
  4. Set depth of cut and stop cam.
  5. Position cutting head to inner-most swept area of rotor and engage clutch, setting cut in motion. Once cut is complete, remove the lathe and adapter.

The G2X upgrade is based on an innovative ALL NEW parallel-arm cutting head which features over-sized adjustment dials and a built-in micrometer. The cutting head plugs into Pro-Cut's standard on-board computer to provide LIVE digital read-out of rotor thickness as the tech sets cut depth and machines the rotor. The technician has 100% control of the finished rotor thickness BEFORE making the cut!

The GYR changes everything. For the first time a technician can know precisely where the rotor stands vs. spec before, during, and after the cut. And the shop (and customer) can be assured of the quality of each and every brake job. GYR Validated Brake Service directs the technician to make in-spec repairs and captures the finished metrics (rotor thickness and run-out) of every rotor machined! Finished results are automatically saved to the tablet and an on-line database and can be printed for customer and/or your records. The GYR system provides management with the means to set and successfully manage a single, profitable policy for brake repair.
