Pro-Cut Wins Supplier Awards From DaimlerChrysler and Fords

Pro-Cut International received awards from both DaimlerChrysler and Ford at supplier meetings held last month in Detroit. The award from DaimlerChrysler was for customer service while Ford recognized Pro-Cut's leading sales growth.

 

Pro-Cut makes the only on-car lathe approved by DaimlerChrysler. The lathe is sold to DaimlerChrysler dealers through the Pentastar Service Equipment Program. Customer service and dealer satisfaction was measured by an independent marketing company. Based on these surveys, Pro-Cut received the Award of Excellence honoring the company as a "true leader in customer satisfaction." Bruce Prince, national accounts manager for Pro-Cut, accepted the award. "We have a tight focus at Pro-Cut," said Prince. "We put a lot of energy into both the product and the customer. It's rewarding to have this acknowledged by a company as large and discerning as DaimlerChrysler."

 

Pro-Cut is also the only on-car lathe approved by Ford who in 1998 purchased more than 5,500 Pro-Cut lathes for their dealers. The award from improved sales reflects the number of dealers who appreciate the value of having a second or third Pro-Cut lathe to supplement the first lathe that was given to them by Ford. "The new computerized PFM900 SmartLathe has really opened the eyes of many Ford dealers," said Prince. "They do a great deal of brake work and have a real profit potential with an extra lathe."
