Pro-Cut Wins Supplier Awards From GM Dealer Equipment Service and Equipment Solutions
August 26, 2002
Pro-Cut International received awards from both General Motors Dealer Equipment Services (GMDES) and Snap-on's Equipment Solutions (EQS) at supplier meetings held this month in Warren, Michigan and Torrance, California. The award from GMDES was for service while Equipment Solutions recognized Pro-Cut's outstanding performance in their first year with the Toyota program.
In the late 1980's Pro-Cut introduced on-car lathe technology to General Motors and became the first on-car lathe approved for sale to GM dealers. Since then, Pro-Cut and GM have worked together in developing more innovative systems for brake repair. In 1998 Pro-Cut introduced the world's first computerized on-car lathe, the PFM900. General Motors approved this product and raised the on-car lathe standard to require the computer-automated compensation pioneered by Pro-Cut. The service award presented to Pro-Cut was in recognition of this successful sales and development history.
The award from Equipment Solutions was a result of Pro-Cut's success with the Toyota equipment program. Pro-Cut was recently approved by Toyota for sale to their dealers. The PFM 9.0 is the first hub mounted brake lathe to be included in the program.
Pro-Cut International Ltd., LLC markets a growing range of proprietary brake repair tools including the patented Discus rotor measuring system and the Pro-Cut series of on-car brake lathes. The company is located in West Lebanon, NH.
