3rd Big 3 Brake Symposium Announced
Unique Event Will Bring Manufacturers and Service Chains Together
August 22, 2002
Pro-Cut International will host their 3rd Big 3 Brake Symposium on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Detroit Metro Airport. Presentations will be made by brake engineers from DaimlerChrysler, Ford, and General Motors. The first symposium was held in August 1999.
The Symposium, conceived and sponsored by Pro-Cut International, offers regional and national account service centers the opportunity to learn about brake and undercar maintenance from the engineers who design them. Virtually every major service chain is expected to attend including representatives from Sears, Midas, Goodyear, Firestone and Pep Boys.
Engineers from DaimlerChrysler, Ford and General Motors will each make presentations on technical and service-related brake issues for their vehicles. Q&A and open discussion will follow these sessions.
For engineers from the Big 3 auto manufacturers, the Symposium provides an opportunity to understand and manage the quality of off-warranty repair. Establishing dialog with the service centers that provide much of the off-warranty service helps them understand and control that service in the future.
The Symposium is offered free of charge to any national or regional service chain. Invitations can be requested be contacting Pro-Cut by phone at 800-543-6618 or email at info@procutinternational.com.
Pro-Cut International Ltd., LLC markets the Discus Rotor Measuring System and the Pro-Cut series of on-car brake lathes including the newly released PFM900 SmartLathe. The company is located in West Lebanon, NH.
