First Ever Big 3 Brake Symposium Held in Detroit
Event Draws Together Manufacturers and National Service Chains
August 6, 1999
When the Big 3 Brake Symposium opens Friday August 6th, there will be brake engineers from DaimlerChrysler, Ford, and General Motors in the same room as managers from most every national account service chain… for the first time ever.
The Symposium, conceived and sponsored by Pro-Cut International, offers national account service centers the opportunity to learn about brake and undercar maintenance from the engineers who helped design them. It's an opportunity that has never been offered before. Virtually every major service chain will be in attendance including representatives from Sears, Midas, Goodyear, Firestone and Pep Boys.
For engineers from the Big 3 auto manufacturers, the Symposium provides an opportunity to manage the quality of off-warranty repair. Opening dialog with the service centers that provide much of the service on their vehicles will help them control that service in the future.
Steve Brown and Jack Pelkey will present for DaimlerChrysler. Dave Mann and George Thornton will present for Ford. Dave Roland and Russ Dobson will present for General Motors.
Pro-Cut International Ltd., LLC markets a growing range of proprietary brake repair tools including the patented Discus rotor measuring system and the Pro-Cut series of on-car brake lathes. The company is located in West Lebanon, NH.
